Sexual Abuse Group Treatment Therapist
Oasis Program POSITION SUMMARY: The Sexual Abuse Group Treatment Therapist is responsible for conducting intakes, developing and facilitating groups, and attending Family Sexual Abuse Treatment (FSAT) staffings on the individuals for whom this position is responsible. The Sexual Abuse Group Treatment Therapist must maintain records in keeping with clinical and HIPPA regulations, per program policy. The Sexual Abuse Group Treatment Therapist will have the opportunity to utilize a trained volunteer in each group and must provide that volunteer with ongoing training and supervision. It is important to note that the Sexual Abuse Group Treatment Therapist must work within a team environment and will have input into program development. QUALIFICATIONS: The Sexual Abuse Group Treatment Therapist must have a Master’s Degree in Counseling or related field and be licensed or eligible for licensure in his/her discipline in the State of Wisconsin. The Sexual Abuse Group Treatment Therapist must have experience in development and facilitation of therapy groups, knowledge of assessment, dynamics of abuse within families (sexual abuse specifically) and child development. The Sexual Abuse Group Treatment Therapist must have an energy, enthusiasm and desire for working with children. The Sexual Abuse Group Treatment Therapist must possess sufficient computer skills with Microsoft Office software, specifically, MS Word, Excel and Outlook, and a willingness to learn new skills as needed or required. Bilingual skills a plus but are not required. DUTIES: The Sexual Abuse Group Treatment Therapist is responsible for collaborating with colleagues to provide intake interviews with potential group members to assess the appropriateness of group treatment; facilitate therapy groups for children ages 5-18, non-offending parents and caregivers, and/or adult survivors; develop, implement and document treatment plans for therapy groups and for individual group members; providing collateral services for group members and their families, including attending Family Sexual Abuse Treatment (FSAT) staffings; keeping appropriate records and maintain client files per program policy; participating in training and supervision of volunteers and graduate student interns when appropriate and needed; networking, collaborating and advocating within community, including providing educational presentations; participating in program project, team and supervision meetings, internal staffings, and agency staff meetings; and maintaining a commitment to professional self-evaluation, continuing education, self-care and personal improvement. SALARY AND BENEFITS: 32 hours per week. Salary range $25,200 - $26,000 based on level of experience. 95% of Health Insurance single-coverage premium paid by agency for employees working 30+ hours per week.
